“Mute” is the latest single from Youth Lagoon’s forthcoming album, ‘Wondrous Bughouse,’ which is due out on March 5th via Fat Possum. Trevor Powers said of his new material: “My mental state is usually pretty sporadic… a lot of this record was influenced by a fear of mortality but embracing it at the same time. Realizing that human life is only great because it is temporary. Experimenting with ideas about dimensions. I’m not a gifted spear, so explaining things is difficult for me. But music always makes sense.”

Stumbleine – “Cherry Blossom”
UK Producer, Stumbleine, released an album this past fall, ‘Spiderwebbed,’ which obviously missed my radar since it’s now February. A friend and fellow music-lover recommended that I check out the track, “Cherry Blossom,” and suggested I put on my good headphones. I was hooked pretty much immediately to the song – it’s smooth and a little infectious.
The overall album is beautifully mellow and definitely mood setting (or suiting).
